Natural Instincts
19/03/2008
All of life has its own innate form of knowing, or its own natural instinct. All of life is connected through the lifeforce that flows through every particle and each cell. This intelligence infuses us and seeks to guide us to connect with our true nature.
Nature instinctively enacts its role and adjusts to its conditions; animals use their finely-honed senses to guide them. Nature has made provisions for the flourishing of all species within the web of life – all are taken care of – their every need met with food and shelter which provides for every diverse creation.
Man has ‘stepped out on his own’ and seeks to create what he thinks he needs to live, or conduct his life, yet has he forgotten about his true nature? What are our natural instincts?
We were born to be held by the Earth, to be cared for, to be cradled in a state of wellbeing, of plenty – a state of peace. The Earth has more than enough to share amongst all her children. When we draw ourselves back to our own centre, we are at home in the place from which only love can flow.
The heart beat of Mother Earth calls us to rest our weary heads, and to receive what is ours. The love of a mother for her creations offered freely – the air we breathe, the waters we drink and the fruits of the soil brought forth by the sun, are ours to claim.
Our natural state is one of complete fulfillment – knowing each of our needs are met by just being. Accepting that this is our true nature by right, and none can take it away. Waking up to each new day and embracing it – ‘yes, this is my day’ – filled with contentment and the promise that that each new moment brings as we participate fully in the cycle and circle of life.
