Transmission of Knowledge from Ancient Egypt – 'Knowledge is Power'
Knowledge has always been passed down, heavily coded in the form of symbolism, destined for those who were ready to receive it. The Mystery Schools in Ancient times transmitted knowledge verbally from Master to Neophyte (a mentor system).
Organisations based on this ‘initiatory’ structure exist to the present day, although many have lost their way as they endeavour to guard their ‘secrets’, and at the same time attract those who will then be deemed ‘worthy’ of receiving their knowledge, “Traditionally and morally the Rosicrucian Order has the obligation of disseminating light to those who are worthy of receiving it.”
The reality is that this knowledge does not need to remain hidden. It was necessary in earlier times as many sought to escape persecution, in times of much religious upheaval – knowledge could not always be transmitted freely so it was hidden, some going to great lengths to camouflage the truths.
The Alchemists knew where the truth lay, although not all of them were able to understand it. The Mystics have always known, yet remained ‘set apart’. The Tarot conveys the truth through heavily coded symbols. The doctrines of all religions contain the essence of truth concealed between layers of ‘clouding’ and human intervention. Societies like The Freemasons, The Golden Dawn, The Illuminati, The Rosicrucians, and The Priory of Sion (for they do exist) have transmitted this knowledge, firstly in oral form handed down in secrecy within the Brotherhood, then by the written forms that exist today.
With the raising of mass consciousness and an open exchange of ideas by those who awaken to their own wisdom, this process of ‘guarding and revealing’ the mysteries is outmoded, as individuals can now access their own knowledge – only possible when they are ready to receive it (having made changes in the physical system) – without the need for an intermediary or third party.
There is benefit in understanding the ritual dramas connected to these initiatory organisations for they all connect with the psyche, thus having an effect on the emotions and physical system, triggering changes. They possess their own kind of energy that has been built up over time, an etheric form of power that can be tapped into (like the egregore – ‘thought form’, or collective group mind).
For those who seek their own connection with God – for we all have this – without being compelled to ‘follow’ a particular path, or teacher, or to join an organisation, it is simple. Everything you need to know for your own development, or own ‘initiation’, lies within. Go within by quietening the mind through meditation, connect to your heart centre and be aware of your own true feelings and innate wisdom.
Focus on what you want in your life. Not what is happening around you that doesn’t please you. Just what you desire to bring into your life – what you enjoy, what you love, what you can say you are passionate about. Use your feelings as your sole guidance system. If you need to make a decision or choice, test each to see which feels right. Think of it in terms of the ‘Feather of Maat’. If it is light and fills you with optimism and excitement, then it is in harmony with you. If you feel heavy or weighed down, then it is not in your best interests.
Be vigilant with your thoughts, for when they are happy thoughts they create happy circumstances, as energy (therefore energy in matter) follows thought and brings them into manifestation. Thoughts are powerful and have their own vibration – the more positive the thought, the higher the vibration. The higher the vibration, the stronger the connection to the upper realms or ‘God’, and the stronger the attraction of the things we want in our life as they are automatically attracted by this energy, as ‘like attracts like’.
There was always an intention from the beginning, that mankind should understand its own power as a ‘creator’, that this knowledge not be withheld from the masses and available only to a few. Many battles have been fought in order to suppress it – to stamp it out – for many times in history it has been attempted to bring it out into the open, only to spark ‘witch hunts’ by those who sought to keep this power for their exclusive use.
Humanity has now reached a point where it is suppressing itself without the need for these persecutors, for connection to the idea that we are creators has been lost as many believe we are victims of events and circumstances, powerless to intervene in a world that sweeps us along with its own momentum.
Many are increasingly too busy to think beyond ‘that which they see’, or to have any energy left to question beyond ‘what is’. Or are unable to imagine that the controls now in place, the beliefs we hold, the political arena, systems and structures we all take as given, are really only held in place by our own fears and belief in them. In other words, if we free our minds and broaden our perspectives, we not only open up to a whole new world of possibilities, we can actually turn them into a reality – by the mere power of focusing our positive thoughts on them.
At any time we may ‘ask’ for guidance – just ask – whether you ask your Higher Self, the Angels, your Guides, or God. Ask and you shall receive – it will take time to develop this connection clearly, yet when you keep asking it will slowly and surely build and strengthen this connection, until guidance becomes clearer. It begins with asking, trusting and openly receiving, or being ‘receptive’ to what comes. The more we practice, the easier it becomes.
