The Three Questions

Love is a canvas furnished by Nature and embroidered by imagination.
Voltaire 1694 – 1778.

The first question is, ‘Why do I have questions?’ Sure enough I am on a quest, and the nature of such a journey brings a yearning that comes from beyond the dimensional depths of our being to light, for without separation there would be no desire to know. And without desire there is no impetus to change; since the nature of all things is change the desire that arises is, ‘How to flow with the inevitable cycles of change that govern all things?’

If we then transform as a result of embracing such questions, how do we reconcile the difference between what is accepted, and therefore expected, and what by its very nature lies beyond the realm of any line of questioning we might have previously thought of or encountered, yet by Law of Attraction finds its way into our experience?

If we take our thought process out of this entirely, by what method do we derive the answer? By reflection we see our own image and by raising questions we draw the answers to us – so what was the question?

Which brings me to the second question, ‘If we seek to understand all of life’s mysteries, or at least hold an intention to unravel the thread that leads the way out of the Labyrinth, how is it we can reach the centre – the rose at the heart that knows us by name?’

For when we weave our way through the dangers and distractions that appear along the road to the promise that lies in wait, many challenges determine our fate. By what door do we enter the chamber of the heart and by whose guidance do we arrive at the start? If destiny has no part, what governs each step we take on our path? If success maketh the man, can we trace when it began?

Transcendence knows no bounds of time, any mortal bonds, or paradigm. By whose measure do we judge ourselves, and by what method do we evaluate our progress up the ladder if we can only perceive what is directly in front of our noses as we observe our reality, which in reality is not reality at all, but merely our way of seeing based purely on our beliefs, conditioning, and experiences to date, rather than the wider peripheral view that takes us beyond the need to question, because we can see the Labyrinth from above – as clear as day when we are not caught within it?

Why do we hold fixed points of view when it is so easy to fly above any firmly held notions? What is the precise point of this question?

And lastly but not least, If one has three wishes and must choose to use them wisely, what would the most prudent wishes be?

If money equals power then surely this buys the keys to freedom? Yet if money has no physical value, then perhaps the qualities of gold are more appealing? In an uncertain world we need security, or a measure of surety – we like to be in control. We aim to perfect conditions and to weather the storms, yet how can we ever be masters of our external environment?

Money equals means. It enables us to balance work and leisure – to buy our pleasure. In a quest for a simple life it may seem like it buys the most precious commodity – time. Time to do what precisely? To create? To be who we need to be?

To be free to make up our own rules as we go along – to leap ahead in a pair of Seven League Boots that carry us to an entirely new level of understanding?

Making ourselves heard, standing out from the crowd, contributing by climbing our way to ever greater heights and inspiring others to reach their true potential – lying dormant until the interest is sparked, the passion ignites and the flame steadied and burning as they learn to lift their eyes to see the light? Do we shield them when we perceive others as too bright? Are we afraid to show our might? The question is therefore, ‘How to relinquish the fight?’ And the wishes shared by all, ‘How to raise our awareness, after the fall?’

Advertising sells us things, with promises such joy it brings
Everything we thought we lacked, ours to purchase if we have the cash
Yet we don’t need it after all, we’ve credit cards – a miracle
Once we’ve spent we can reach ‘content’, but what about upgrades and paying the rent?

The harder we work the less time we have
The things that we’re missing mount up as we crave
Our diaries are full and distractions on hand
If money buys freedom, where do we stand?

The key to happiness it’s said, is finding harmony between heart and head
Yet when intuition guides the way, logic exits from the stage
When seeker hopes to find the truth it is magnetised – there is no roof
No ceiling high enough to contain, the pearls of wisdom beyond refrain.

The only answer I can see, is to keep on questioning the nature of reality.
