Bringing Ancient Knowledge into the Present Day
Although much knowledge was suppressed throughout the ages we can also follow its transmission, the secrets accessible only to those who understood. If we go back to Ancient Egypt we can see how the feminine principle, and the importance of its balance with the masculine principle, appears as an integral part of their belief system – as Maat, or Truth.
Alchemy was founded on this knowledge and gives us many clues in its symbolism, if we learn how to read it. The Tarot has carried this symbolism through to the present day. Every ancient culture gives us clues through creation myths and symbolism – like the Tree of Life with serpents rising to eat an eagle past seven branches, or flowers. Or, Kundalini energy rising up the spine, balancing the sun (masculine) and the moon (feminine), through each of the seven chakras – bringing connection with soul or ‘Divine Self’, and then ‘receiving wings’ – becoming an ‘Angel’, connecting fully with our ‘Higher Self’, or being ‘crowned’, as we are fully connected to the ‘Godhead’, through our crown chakra.
