In the forest, sitting on a rock that spans the river as autumn leaves fall…

At the crossroads of nature, where all elements unite there is harmony, the water that flows bringing with it the power to grant life – to enable all to grow. The warmth of the sun that calls forth all things towards their destiny, as each plant reaches upwards and outwards to the light so do we; it is nature. The air that is necessary to sustain life fills our lungs as we go about our daily tasks, yet little are we conscious of its presence. The earth holds us; every creature
within her embrace as we acknowledge there is a system in place.

Life sustains life. Life is vital and ever changing as energy alters from one state to the other, either as form or ‘formless’: the many unseen worlds or levels of vibration that exist beyond the perception of our senses, unless they are highly developed. This is our quest: to perceive ever greater nuances of all that engulfs us; is around us; is connected to us. To ‘grow in stature’ as we encompass these ever greater frequencies within our own energy field – or emanation – and establish a connection to these ‘higher realms’, as we do so, becoming aware of the bigger picture, we are blessed with a vision of the inner workings of life and gain further appreciation of the miraculous intelligence that commands all.

‘Harmony’ is equilibrium: a chorus of vibrations that correspond, and amplify the power of ‘creation’ – all that enables and has a positive spin-off effect, thus producing a result that serves. It is natural that everything has a role; there is not one thing more important than another, but a web that traces its way to each point or junction, working together with others to define and hold the overall structure. It is visible only when we take the time to look, illuminated only when we have the correct angle of light or reflection from dew that allows us to behold its magic. And just as a spider spins so do we; ever creating our own dream-catcher – whether aware or ‘consciously creating’, or sending out thoughts ‘willy-nilly’, we are involved in the process of constant creation and attraction, it is our nature.

The water that tumbles over a cascade does not ask “for what reason do I flow?” it is subject to the higher laws that govern all functioning. A tree does not demand “how tall shall I stand” it does so in accordance with the blueprint of its species, and its circumstances or relationship to the elements either aid or are detriment to its progress. The earth converts all that comes her way and is the seed bed for change; the generator or incubator of the life that lies under its cover of leaves ready to spring forth to greet the sun. The fire of its rays sparking life into action as chemicals infuse and particles participate in the laboratory of nature that concocts without rest – ever evolving.

We cannot separate ourselves from any of these processes or stages of evolution; we are carried along with life’s inundations and stranded by her droughts. We are subject to all the forces at work in the universe as we too are shaped and forged anew. Forever chipping away at the old layers we are born again, renewed – with each exhalation we release, and with every inhalation we invite new life.

As seasons change, so do we. As our years increase, so do we see the effects in our lives. As the earth undergoes major changes in order to restore equilibrium – whether by tidal wave or quake, or rupture – we too are shaken. It seems that nothing is certain, that change is inevitable and it is only a matter or time; we cannot be ‘immune’. We view upheavals as tragic events and think of the destruction and loss of life that ensues, and morn what was, yet what has been can never be replaced – we know this – and when old structures are swept away healing takes place. A wound is already on the mend where nature is concerned – all forces rally towards equilibrium.

Why do we worry, why do we doubt, when everything that occurs must work out. As surely as the current flows, the intelligence that guides us knows. Ensuring our safety is a priority, for life looks after its own under the law of harmony – the only obstacle in humanity’s way is ‘ignoring the signals and failing to act’. Our instincts are the device – leading edge technology – that we must learn to operate efficiently. We’re adept at upgrading to meet the needs of modern life; external systems demand it for we communicate to survive. Yet within the voice is true and strong and much surer than life’s distractions that obscure our own song. Our heart knows the truth and points the way; cutting through illusion we see ‘by the light of day’ – gut feelings or an inkling, whatever we recognise, this voice is there to serve us, it is essential to our lives. Long suppressed it desires only to be heard, our heart beating ever louder if it continues to be ignored. Crises or drama; events that awaken; sudden disturbances: all for a reason. A wake up call, before it’s too late “get back to the basics, listen to your heart”.

This is the change heralded by this time, as the façade dissolves along with our own lies. We cannot push aside ‘what honours us the most’ and put up with less than our guiding force invokes. To be fully alive, to embrace all that is, to thrive not survive is to be conscious ‘of our gifts’. Serving life as it in turn supports our own, we participate in positive creation, one and all. Loving what we do, in step with our own tune, singing all the while – this is the ultimate desire. The song of harmony that calls us to dance, to pick up our feet with a lightness of heart, to let go of burdens and all we must do, to skip through life easily scattering blessings to one and all – sharing the benefit of all we love and enjoy, working as one, a community, beyond ‘individual’ gain there is more. Appreciating all we have and all we love to give and give – and receive of course, for it must come round, the energy of abundance is a circle that surrounds. Awake, alive, in our natural state, there is no such division as love or hate; all is in balance in the moment of truth – “what is it that calls me home to celebrate as in my youth?” An outlook, a vision, a spirit we may all share, the essence or elixir that we imbibe; passing the cup of hope and raising a toast “life is good” if we will believe it is so – the proof is in the reality that follows.

Drinking deep from the wellspring of life we are always rewarded, not once but thrice. Bathing in the magic of all that surrounds us we are ever ‘on track’ – connected ‘as one with nature’ we are carried on her back: held; supported; provided for; if only we would accept it, as we walk through nature’s door.
