How Inspiration Arrived

Mandala Wishes Cards evolved as a result of following an urge to move to the countryside, and to just ‘throw open the doors to a garden and paint.’ Rose Cottage appeared, and before I knew it there were 12 illustrations, each with a different theme. I found that as I was happily focused on creating ‘time’ ceased to exist, and that as I stopped my mind from wandering, I would be filled with new energy and inspiration.

The illustrations became cards with a colouring-in outline, and I was prompted to add another dimension – ‘connecting with inspiration’, while colouring. The wish card then ‘arrived’ for recording these ideas, acting as a reminder or bookmark. I even found I wanted to make wishes as I folded each card – so they were imbued with thoughts of all of the things that I love and enjoy, and with the wishes I wanted to send out into the world.

‘Mandala Wishes Cards are designed to harness the power within the Mandala as we sit quietly and connect with ourselves, just enjoying the moment, and being involved in the whole process of creating. Combining ‘wishes’ helps us transform our inner desires, via thought, to an outer reality, as we add emotions to our wishes and therefore send out ‘positive arrows’, or sow the seeds of change.’

They can be used as a tool to help us visualise what we want to happen in our lives, empowering us by enhancing our connection with our self and bringing balance – as we make time for ourselves and reaffirm what is really important, beyond the daily tasks that require our attention. When we pass our wishes to others and ‘send them out to the Universe’, we help feed the consciousness of the whole, or the collective, with our love or ‘positive vibrations’ – consciously directing energy as we ‘co-create’.
