Unlocking the Power of the Universe
Everything we’ve ever wanted to know – an incredible reservoir of knowledge – is available to each and every one of us, should we only learn how to access it. We are more accustomed to going through life asking for opinions and studying textbooks – to always seeking an external source that holds the answers to our questions. We evaluate what we read, and we must learn to discern when we consider others advice, and think about how we might apply it to our lives.
And this is where a dilemma arises. Anything that comes to us as second hand isn’t a result of our direct experience – it must be tailored to fit our circumstances or enquiry. We’re used to searching for answers, and as easily as we can harness the power of Google – in an instant– they appear at our fingertips. Yet what about guidance – all of our intimate thoughts and inner workings – do we still find that we’re not always sure of our feelings? Or have trouble making some decisions, or knowing which way to turn when we’re faced with more and more choices that enter into our daily lives? Or if we want answers to our own unique obsessions or passions, or interests, that don’t actually exist, because they are ours alone? Or seek to uncover the secrets to a past era, or rituals, or the ways of the ancients that were once commonly shared, but are now lost? Or merely wish to understand more about our own purpose – or our own unique gifts – and how we can contribute?
We all have the ability to tune in – or literally ‘plug in’ as if we are accessing broadband – to this vast pool of ‘everything that ever was, is and is becoming’. Through intention and through the ‘power of now’ as we settle ourselves into a receptive, and therefore ‘open’ state, we become the receivers and transmitters of the frequencies of energy we call waves of sound and light (we become harmonic receptors) – absorbing universal energy into our being and converting it directly, as a form of telepathy, into something we can understand.
Words – a gentle voice – and the essence of inner knowing that flows with a great sense of calm and wellbeing, through our entire being. It is no trick or trade to be mastered – it requires only a little practice and it is constantly with us. Through silence clarity comes, and as we set aside distractions our instincts light the way – regardless of how psychic or aware we think we are, we all have the ability to connect easily.
Yet where exactly, do we connect to? How can we begin to understand the many levels or multidimensional aspects of the unseen – or what we could also term levels of consciousness that permeate us, and flow through all things?
Dreams allow us to pull things from the depths of our own subconscious and to bring them to a waking state, and anything that is of a personal nature – that is part of the collected sum of all our thoughts, words and deeds, that is us – is accessible if we venture to go within, by quietening our mind and connecting to our heart, just as in states of meditation or ‘trance’. Yet the more we perfect the act of connecting to our own selves – through listening to our bodies, our feelings and by getting to the bottom of our own self-motivation – the more we become adept at working with the flow or stream of consciousness that connects us to other levels which we could term ‘impersonal’ or ‘collective’: knowledge that lies beyond our own personal experience that relates to the workings of the universe (or universal laws and principles, ancient wisdom, the ageless wisdom teachings, or the wisdom of the ancestors) – the way of all things, because everything is interconnected.
We gain direct access to these higher, or exalted states – the frequencies of light and sound that contain higher truths – when we express a desire or intent that lies beyond our own self-interest (and is therefore any self-serving application of knowledge) – when we hold the intent to share. To contribute to humanity’s understanding as a collective, merely using our unique perspective to add another ‘way of seeing’ to the whole (or everything that exists – the entire collective pool of what was, is and is becoming).
The simplest way to think of it is ‘knowledge that exists that lies beyond our own personal experience, and is therefore bigger than us and broader than our limited subjective view, thus more objective’. Or the closest we can come to imparting universal truth without colouring it with our own views, or belief systems, or perception, while still delivering it through our own form of creative expression. Birthing an idea that is already based on a sound harmonious construct – because it is in accordance with the laws of life and nature, and contributes to all of life. Remaining free from judgement because we’re not using our brain to access or critique what we’re told – we feel it is the truth because we know it within every cell of our being, on a soul level, because our instincts inform us it is correct.
An incredible tool, there for us to access, the most transformative source that is ours to work with – to play with and experiment with – providing we know how it operates.
Turning the key we already hold, access is granted to all the mysteries of the world. Making the time and creating the space, asking what we will – it comes to us through grace. When our intention is clear, energy follows thought – to access this place, all we need do is ‘accept support’.
Attunement to Guidance: Sit quietly with your eyes closed and draw your attention within – to your breath and to your heart. See yourself as greater than your physical body, as a being of light held within a pillar of light that extends to the centre of the earth and high into ‘space’. Take your awareness up higher and higher into the light as you breathe, feeling ‘lighter’. Call upon your ‘Higher Self’ and guides and ask a specific personal question, adding ‘for my Highest Good’ to your intention – allow the answer to come (you can open your eyes and write, or just listen).
Attunement to Higher Planes: Follow the same process, travelling up into the light and holding the intention to connect through your ‘Higher Self for your Highest Good and for the Highest Good of all’ – stating the intent to ‘be of service’ and to share, and to be a clear channel for divine light, love, and power opens the way to higher frequencies (through the energy of unconditional love) and allows universal knowledge to be grounded.

It is different to what might be called ‘channelling’ as it is a conscious process of connecting to the collective and doesn’t require a particular guide or spiritual teacher – when our intent is true it opens the gateway to Higher Realms, if we are prepared to believe they exist. Working in this way we expand our own consciousness, or awareness of the universe, and evolve in alignment and balance absorbing increments of light – becoming ‘en-lightened’.
