Expressing Our Creativity

What does it mean to express our selves creatively? Do we hold a collective vision that dictates a series of tasks performed under this banner? Painters and artists, or writers, playwrights and filmmakers: those who work in creative fields, or recognised industries that provide the creations we so admire, yet each and every one of us creates every day.

Whether fixing our breakfast or our hair, we are constantly shaping our lives and our destinies. Every thought we send out contains energy – it is backed with a desire or intention, and when directed, cannot fail to hit its mark. With each breath we take we create ourselves anew, our cells constantly regenerating and our intelligent systems finding their way, maintaining vitality and allowing us to function.

Everything we touch we either imbue with love or express our disapproval of – for our emotions are the fuel for the fires of creation – our forge – as we make our way through the many experiences that enter our days, and file them away, according to how we perceive them. Good or bad, wrong or right, did I like that one or get a fright? Constantly commenting we create our view, our take on the world, our own unique skew.

And it is just that, ours alone, for none can step into our shoes and see through our eyes and share all of our thoughts. What if we were responsible for all of creation, if we could step in and take the role of Nature? What would be required to conjure life – to bring about the miracles that we are faced with, when we take the time to notice them – all the myriad wonders of the world?

A perfect white petal forming a star, radiating from a golden heart. A delicate scent wafting, even as we speak, to our nostrils as we imagine each exquisite detail and aspect of functioning, and the other parts necessary in the entire system that will ensure it. The web of life – sustaining our life – holding all of life in balance. For what good is our flower without the sun and rain, and bees? Just as we cannot separate ourselves from this system, we cannot separate our talents from ourselves – we are all creators.

We all have a knack of doing whatever it is we choose to do, in our own peculiar way. And all it takes is a bit of love and nurturing to keep our dreams alive – to draw out the best in us; to tap into the often hidden resources that we may claim as ours. Whether preparing a meal or closing a deal, if we are aware that every action we take has the power to create we can remind ourselves of the outcome – the consequences – and choose to imbue every single part of our lives with love-filled thoughts.

What is it we enjoy? What fills us with satisfaction? What sees us satiated, our cup filled to the brim with goodness? For the key is nothing but finding the magic in every moment and holding on to the beauty that weaves its way through our lives, if we will allow it.

Each of Nature’s treasures, a reminder of the power that is ours to ‘use wisely’, each rainbow, a call to lift our eyes beyond our current horizon. Every drop from the Heavens a perfect sphere; a crystal containing an entire world that we are part of. Each one of us; capable of sharing our gifts – our own ‘wonderful compositions’ – as we receive and transmit our own frequencies out into the world, by being aware of what enters our lives and of the power that we have to transform our experiences as we view them all as blessings, and send our thoughts into the ether.
